STUDIO ENGINEERING
let's make music together
What do I do?
As a studio engineer, my job is to make sure a session runs smoothly, whether it's a band recording an album or an individual doing some spoken word - it's up to me to make sure you can focus on making. Parts of my role include (but aren't limited to):
-
Running the session
-
Working the mixing console/DAW
-
Ensuring recording quality
-
Setting up/packing down
-
and more

While the majority of my work over the last few years has been with solo vocalists in the rap/hip hop world, I am more than capable of running sessions with full bands across a wide-variety of genres. If you'd like to have me involved in a session but wouldn't be 100% comfortable with me as a lead engineer, I'm more than happy to act as an assistant too.

As an engineer, my DAW of choice has almost always been Logic Pro. However, I am very comfortable in Pro Tools with a basic understanding of both Ableton and FL Studio. I can get by in Audacity and GarageBand too. I haven't used other DAWs at this moment in time but give me 1-2 weeks notice and I guarantee I can run a session in any other DAW too.
